Because of my early planning I mentioned in an earlier post I have already completed and submitted 2 essays, one for Television Genres and World Cinema.
In my Television Genres essay I looked at Televised News and how it has developed, looking at the codes and conventions of the genre, the scheduling, the change in format through technological advancements as well as the genres future.
For World Cinema I looked at the Edward Said's theory of 'Orientalism', for the sake of my essay I looked at the theory in relation to "The Mummy", looking at how the East are represented within Western films.
